Social Media Club of Cache Valley
Global Social media club opens Cache Valley chapter

LOGAN, UT -- The Social Media Club, a global organization started in San Francisco , has recently opened a Cache Valley chapter. The president of the new chapter is Preston Parker, a professor at Utah State University.

The Social Media Club of Cache Valley, or SMCCV, is a club dedicated to exploring social media websites such as Twitter and Facebook. Parker said the main goal of the club is to “network like-minded individuals” and give them an arena to discuss “addictions to Mafia Wars and Farmville.” The club also features guest speakers and refreshments.

The Social Media Club of Cache Valley currently has 26 members. The Cache Valley chapter officially opened in July of 2009. The club meets every other Thursday night from 6:30 to 8 PM.
